“Imagination transforms the commonplace into the great and creates the new out of the old .” L. Frank Baum, author The Wonderful Wizard of Oz
This gentle workshop aimed at children aged 0 - 3 invites families to explore storytelling without words. Using simple objects, fabric, sound and gesture, Tamao Oka shows how to create playful stories together. Through songs, hand-play games and fabric play, parents and children explore rhythm, imagination and connection in a relaxed and joyful space.
Tamao loves storytelling, puppet shows, and singing with children. Tamao is a certified Steiner kindergarten teacher, was the leader of a toddlers group at the Steiner School during her training and has run a Japanese kid’s book club for over ten years in Dublin.
One ticket gives access to one child AND one parent/guardian. Parents remain with their children throughout. Organised in collaboration with Hugh Lane Gallery Explore & Learn programme.
