Tá an Ghaeilge ag croílár a gcuid ceoil agus is breá leo amhráin nua sa stíl thraidisiúnta agus ar an sean nós a chruthú. Tá siad tógtha le comhcheol a shníomh isteach san amhránaíocht, mar aon leis an bhfilíocht. Bíonn an ceol agus an fhilíocht á nascadh le chéile acu, spreagtha go mór ag leabhar filíochta nua Éire, ‘Puisín Beag an Diabhail’.
Éire Ní Fhaoláin agus Cú Chulainn Ó Faoláin are a sibling duo with a love of Irish traditional singing, sean-nós singing, traditional music and poetry.
The Irish Language is at the heart of their music and they love to create new songs in the traditional and sean-nós styles. They really enjoy incorporating harmonies into their singing, as well as poetry. The duo combine music and poetry, heavily inspired by Éire’s new poetry book ‘Puisín Beag an Diabhail’.
Together, they weave music and language into a performance that is both rooted and evolving, honouring tradition while carving out new creative ground.
This special performance also features readings from Éire’s latest Irish-language poetry collection, Puisín Beag an Diabhail . Drawing on folklore, myth, and the symbolic power of the black cat and the number nine, her work transforms tradition into vivid, lyrical storytelling.
Deeply inspired by Irish culture, song, and oral history, Éire’s poetry unfolds like music, each piece carrying its own rhythm, voice, and narrative. In performance, these elements come together to create an intimate and immersive experience where music and poetry speak to one another in real time.
