Known as “the Jack Kirby of bedroom pop recordists” for his energy and dynamic, cosmic artistic style, Laurie Shaw is a highly prolific and creative musician. He has recorded over 120 albums of bedroom pop. Often based around his adopted home of Kenmare, his songs tell stories about rural abandon in small towns.
Laurie Shaw was born on the Wirral Peninsula and is now based in County Kerry. He often gigs in Cork, Dublin and the Merseyside area. When he’s not making records, Laurie Shaw draws comics, makes short films, and dabbles in amateur ghost hunting. His other notable albums include Magnetosphere , Power Cut , Graduation Night and the nature-based Into The Microcosm .
