In Jean-Baptiste Andrea’s star-crossed love story Watching Over Her, an infamous sculptor on his deathbed reveals his life story; his impoverished childhood, his rise to fame and his meeting with Viola, the daughter of a powerful aristocratic family. While Mimo becomes a celebrated artist, Viola fights to claim her education and independence. They lose and find each other over decades, but never give up on the love they share.
