Geared towards new and emerging writers, this event will feature discussion on how to pursue publication and build a career in the Irish arts sector, utilising practical advice from those who have done so. Short storyist and author Colin Barrett, author Louise Nealon, and poet and essayist Gustav Parker Hibbett will each offer their unique perspectives on how things have developed since they first forayed into the Irish literature scene and how they would now navigate the publishing industry. The panellists will be in discussion with Kasandra Ferguson, managing editor of The Belvedere Literary Journal . This publication from Dublin City University highlights writers earlier in their careers, with their opportunities and events focused on bridging the gap between writerly craft and professional acumen.
